Three children and their mother inherit and move into Spiderwick, a cobwebby gothic mansion which turns out to be inhabited by goblins, spirits, ogres, trolls and griffins, visible only with the aid of a Seeing Stone which the children find. The stage is set for a series of enthralling adventures.

Croatian theatre company Mala Scena’s show is visually stimulating and makes the under 5s laugh out loud! Two performers dressed as parachutists explore the idea of flying through life’s challenges and how friends are there to help us along the way. Without words we follow their story told with acrobatics, props and dynamic dance sequences with pulsating music. They have their games and tiffs but in the end, friendship rules.

The Rapping Rats

Tales from the Caribbean, Germany, Australia and France, celebrating the multicultural origins of the stories in the styles of the pieces.

The production fuses storytelling with music in a colourful combination of rod, muppet-style, glove and full-figure puppets. There are plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in with songs, sounds and actions, and learn about music in the process.
