The Poet Dogs ‘Shropshire’s best kept secret - without doubt one of the best new bands in the country ’ Sam Jukes, JBs of Dudley, the long established Rock venue. ‘Eccentric four piece capable of mixing electronica, indie rock and Gregorian chants whilst disguised as The Kinks’ Sunday Express This totally unique local band celebrates the extremes of life: ‘Sometimes we want to rock out with distorted guitars and oscillating synths - other times we want to sound like a bearded folk band with violins and accordions, we love it all!’ The Sunday Express reviewed their album, 46th Time Lucky and named it CD of the week. Corallia Duo Fiona Slominska & Louise Thomson, flute and harp A versatile and exciting combination, Fiona and Louise bring a new energy into the world of flute and harp music. Since graduating from the RNCM they have performed extensively throughout the UK at venues and festivals, and have been selected to perform at this year’s Royal Overseas Music Competition. Keen advocates of new music, Fiona and Louise have workedwith contemporary British composers including Andy Scott on his dynamic and ground breaking Sonata for flute and harp. Here is a taste of their programme, but they will be playing much more: CPE Bach - Sonata in G ‘Hamburger’ Their love of performing together and vibrant approach to musical genres is engaging and inspiring to all.

Queen Ga Ga ‘Stunning’ Official Queen Fan Club ‘Superb’ Brian May From playing at the International Queen Convention to appearing in a recent BBC documentary, Ga Ga continue to prove why they are so highly rated by critics and audiences alike. There are no wigs, no make-up and definitely no false moustaches but instead a host of massive Queen songs played like they were meant to be. The Temperance Seven Jazz band ‘Humour and rhythm combine to make The Temperance Seven a unique experience in upbeat nostalgia’ The Stage This band has enjoyed five decades of fun-filled jazzing, starting with their glory days in the 60s. The current orchestra faithfully recreates the old hits, and has also taken the repertoire into a new dimension, performing arrangements and compositions that would have made the original line-up’s hair stand on end! The orchestra love what they are doing and convey this sense of enjoyment to their audiences all over the world - music like theirs is timeless and universal, and can be enjoyed by anyone, anywhere. Ember Folk music ‘one of the UK’s hottest underground folk acts’ BBC Wales The song-writing duo are known for their unusual harmonies and skilled accompaniment on guitars, violin, clarinet and harmonica. They are joined by world percussionist Job Verweijen, who is sure to play at least one instrument you’ve never seen before! The evening will feature songs from their recently released fourth album as well as old favourites.

Katzenjammer The four-hands-on-one-piano music and comedy duo ‘I laughed so much I had to take my teeth out and put them in my handbag’ Blackpool Grand Spectacular piano gymnastics, hilarious comic banter and a finale that’s sure to go with a bang. They will dazzle you with their arrangements of everything from Liszt to The Simpsons, while the resulting tangle of hands and arms are projected onto a large screen so you can marvel at the mesmerising gymnastic display of their playing.

Simon Mayor and The Mandolinquents Britain’s first modern Mandolin quartet ‘One of those groups that defy pigeonholing...effervescent... exotic...altogether it’s just plain fun!’ The Living Tradition With mandolins of all shapes as well as fiddle, banjo, classical guitar, superb vocals and the occasional step-dance, their infectious fun and off-beat humour influence everything they play. From classical showstoppers to beautifully sung Irish ballads, traditional tunes from China and Brazil and hot swing and ragtime pieces. A riot of music, song, and humour. Auditorium
